Daly Waters. The roadhouse on the highway not the Daly Waters pub, which is 4kms off the highway.

Busy place. We  are no longer in the middle of nowhere, but on the edge of somewhere.

125 kms from the rest stop at Newcastle Waters today with a meal stop at Dunmara, which was at the 80km mark.

Wind was with us again. Starting blowing hard about 3:00 in the morning. Very happy about that.

Left the rest stop about 8:45 and got here about 4:20. Quick. No sense anymore of the kms dragging by.

Uneventful day.

Another day with my feet feeling not too bad. Rode almost 40kms straight after leaving the rest stop.

Larimah tomorrow. Not sure how far, but can't be more than 100kms.

Only 6 days of riding left. Doesn't seem much. Sense of things winding down. Arriving in Darwin doesn't seem important.

The environment has changed significantly. Many more and bigger trees. No idea what the predominant species is. There are some biggish gum trees among them. It also seems hotter. Pierre saw our first live kangaroo today.

There was an incident when we arrived at the road house. Didn't see it happen, but heard it. An old guy who was filling up collapsed. There was a loud crack as he hit the concrete. People, woman, including Vero, ran from everywhere. Blood was pouring out of his head. Turns out he was a doctor and most of the woman who had rushed to his aid were nurses .

,,,go to day 29 - June 7
