I slept well and didn't get going until about 6:30. Packed up and started preparing porridge for breakfast in the camp kitchen. I liked the kitchen. Run down like the rest of Larimah, but I found it comfortable. The others got up just as the porridge was ready. Slow start, which included a coffee in the pub for Vero.

Heading off we passed Fran's Tea House on the northern edge of Larimah. It wasn't open the day before when we were looking for food. Fran is an eccentric 71yr old and the tea house has been operating for 27 years. A dutch couple told us everything is exactly as it was 12 years ago when they last passed through. I can believe it. l only need to experience it once.

I had an easy ride, but Pierre and Vero went for it for the first 40 kms. Left them spent by the time we got to Mataranka.

Vegetation continues to change. Trees are getting bigger. Lots of hawks. More road kill especially kangaroos, but not seeing them live while riding. Lots of them around the caravan park here in Matranka though.

Nice caravan park. New, big, plenty of big trees. We will stay two nights at least. We are going to ride to the hot springs today. They are about 3kms from the caravan park.

I like it here and am happy to hang around for a day our two.

,,,go to day 31 - June 9
