A critical factor would the weather, So far during the rennos there had been a heat wave and, the weekend before the pour, heavy rain. The two days of the pour the max temperature was in the low to mid 20's. Next to perfect.

The concrete arrived in large concrete trucks that had little room to manoeuvre. But they were ushered into place and the action started. There was no mucking about. The concrete had to be poured from the trucks and into where it had to go quickly. It is a sprint not a marathon.

The studio required more effort because concrete had to be moved in a wheelbarrow. Because of the slab the extension needed more time and attention. The estimate of the amount of concrete required was spot on for the studio and a tad under for the extension. Not too bad. After a lot of lead up work and some worrying on Chris' part the pour went well. There was a sense that it would be all downhill from here.
