With the pads ready the footings are dug. Terry does them with his excavator.  Darko assists using Chris' laser level to make sure they are dug to the engineer's specifications. Now the extent of the project is becoming clear.

Next is boxing for the concrete. This requires precise measurements and more utilisation of the laser level. Marvellous things.

Finally the reo has to go in. All that iron. Iron bars, iron ligatures, iron and mesh and thousands of wire ties to hold it all together. Some of it can be done out of the trenche, but a lot of it has to be done in the trenches. I decided to wear the same pair of shorts till it was finished. The studio and the extension reo took four days.
